During Oerol, we create a charming, intimate and sustainable BlueCamp village in a unique location surrounded by nature.
A place to settle in, sleep and unwind, whilst the festival is always close by. Our two-person tents are ready and waiting, simply and fully equipped, so you can arrive hassle-free and start enjoying yourself straight away.
You’ll be staying at the Swartduin campsite, a dune area in the Donkere Bos, between the beach and the woods and just behind West-Terschelling. The village is within walking distance, as are many performances, venues and places to eat. The sea is never far away and the surroundings are perfect for walking and cycling.
In the morning, you’ll wake up in peace and quiet, and the day begins with the aroma of a fresh breakfast. Under our large 90 m² tarpaulin, we prepare breakfast every morning, and there’s space to sit, read, catch up or take shelter from the sun or rain. Coffee and tea are available all day. In the fridge, you’ll find soft drinks, beer and wine, and there are various snacks. Simply note down what you use on a tally sheet and settle the bill on departure.
The two-person tents are equipped with comfortable air mattresses, pillows and sheets. You’ll need to bring your own warm sleeping bag. There are facilities for charging phones and bike batteries. You can bring your own bike to the island, or hire one from the bike hire on arrival.
BlueCamp has a toilet block with electricity and hot and cold water, including lovely showers. There are no facilities for cooking your own lunch or dinner; Oerol and the island offer more than enough options for that.
BlueCamp is a peaceful base during Oerol. A place to sleep outdoors, share stories and experience the festival at your own pace.
